Art shouldered his way through the crowd at Mary Beth Hunt’s Halloween party. At nearly twice the age of these high school seniors, the only thing that could make him feel more awkward and out of place than being there at all would be being dressed The Thing.

“What a revolting development,” he murmured to himself, rolling his eyes at the situation.
At least he’d been working out for the summer and was pretty built, in his stocky way.
